- Spinal muscular atrophies (SMA types I-IV)
- Kennedy syndrome
- Hirayama disease
- Tangier disease
- Hexosaminidase deficiency
- Poliomyelitis and post-polio syndrome
- Flail arm/leg variants of motor neuron disease
- Postradiation syndrome
Clinical presentation
- Flaccid weakness with LMN motor signs, reduced muscle tone, fasciculations and atrophy in affected segments
