Lateral femoral cutaneous nerve lesions
Causes
- Injury at lumbar plexus, posterior or anterior abdominal wall or near inguinal ring.
- Overweight people are predisposed to this nerve injury.
- Tight fitting clothes or belt might cause compression damage.
Symptoms & signs
- Meralgia paresthetica: Pain, numbness and paresthesias in the anterolateral aspect of the thigh.
- No motor symptoms or signs.
